RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day-to-day operational support to the DND/CAF EWCMS, including migration and/or upgrades to the existing applications. This tasks include performing analysis, design, programming and maintenance activities for the custom application software and providing application programming/analysis support services;
- Plan and develop scalable technical architectures, frameworks and strategies, for the DND/CAF EWCMS to meet the business and application requirements;
- Ensure all integration aspects of search component layer in EWCMS are stabilized;
- Analyze and evaluate EWCMS hardware in order to maintain their stability, improve system performance, and by determining potential bottlenecks through recommended server hardware changes in order to meet business requirements;
- Review and make recommendations on ways to improve and optimize servers and network architecture for EWCMS;
- Analyze and evaluate alternative technology solutions, including providing option analysis;
- Develop and maintain technical documentation;
- Develop migration and upgrade strategy and process for DND’s EWCMS;
- Provide technical support and work collaboratively with DND/CAF staff in order to resolve technical problems with DND’s EWCMS;
- Provide technical architecture advice during status update meetings, technical working group sessions, or at any time at the request of the Technical Authority. The advice must be in the form of: presentations, briefings, documentation, training or coaching;
- Respond to queries and requests from clients.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of experience working as a Technical Architect;
- A University undergraduate degree, or a 2-year College diploma, in Computer Science or Engineering from a recognized university or community college;
- 5+ years of recent experience working with the installation, configuration and customization to TeamSite 7.3 or higher consisting of LiveSite, and OpenDeploy;
- 2+ years of recent experience administering TeamSite server services;
- Experience working with Java/J2EE, CSS, HTML/HTML5, XML templates, and JavaScript;
- Fluent English.
